The Shah Family Foundation is delighted to announce a grant of $50,000 over two years to The Darling Home for Kids, an organization dedicated to providing specialized care for children with medical complexities. Located in Milton, Ontario, this one-of-a-kind facility offers respite, residential, and hospice-palliative care to children aged 0–18, supporting families during some of their most challenging moments.
This funding will specifically enhance the Home’s Respite Program, which provides overnight stays for children, allowing caregivers to recharge and focus on their well-being. While parents receive a much-needed break, children enjoy a safe, nurturing environment filled with enriching experiences, such as music therapy, accessible outdoor activities, and sensory play.
The Darling Home for Kids serves as a critical resource for families across Ontario, fostering connection and providing comfort when it’s needed most. The Shah Family Foundation is proud to partner with this remarkable organization to help children thrive and families find strength.
